How Can We Help You?

Terrabithia features a spacious, open-air riverside lawn measuring approximately 15,000 square feet. It can comfortably accommodate up to 500 guests for large-scale celebrations, such as outdoor weddings, wedding receptions, Haldi ceremonies, and cultural events. For smaller or more intimate gatherings, the layout can be dynamically scaled using partitions or lounge setups to create a cozy, warm ambiance without feeling empty.

Our standard venue booking window is typically 12 hours (for example, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM or custom slots). We are highly flexible and happy to coordinate with your planners. Setting up and decorator entry can commence earlier (e.g., from 6:00 AM) if discussed and approved in advance. Extensions beyond the standard window can be arranged for a nominal hourly fee, subject to availability and local regulatory timing rules.

To secure your preferred date, we recommend booking at least 6 to 9 months in advance, especially if your event falls during the peak wedding and celebration season in Kerala (typically November to May). For weekday events or smaller gatherings, we can sometimes accommodate shorter lead times, subject to lawn and cabin availability.

The cost of booking Terrabithia varies depending on the guest count, the time of the year (peak vs. off-peak months), and the specific package options chosen (such as a standard day-slot rental of the lawn versus adding overnight cabin stays or multiple-day destination wedding packages). Please contact our team directly for a detailed, custom quotation tailored to your event plans.

Since we are a premium outdoor riverside lawn, we highly recommend planning weather contingencies, especially during the Kerala monsoon seasons (June to September). We work closely with leading local decorators who can install beautiful, fully weatherproof, German-style structural marquees, transparent tents, or traditional pandals on the lawn. Read our detailed guide on monsoon-proofing an outdoor Kerala wedding for layout recommendations.

Complete creative and budgetary freedom is one of Terrabithia's signature features! We do NOT force you to use in-house vendors. While we maintain a curated list of trusted partner decorators and caterers who are intimately familiar with our venue layout and electrical capabilities, you are absolutely welcome to hire any certified external caterers, event planners, and decorators of your choice to suit your specific taste and budget.

Terrabithia is a natural open-air farm venue and does not have an on-site commercial kitchen or food preparation infrastructure. External caterers are welcome and typically bring pre-cooked food in insulated hot boxes/chafing units, or arrange self-contained live cooking stalls (bringing their own mobile stoves, water, and prep tables). Caterers are responsible for complete post-event cleanup and waste removal.

Alcohol consumption is permitted at private events, provided that the hosts obtain a one-day temporary events liquor license (often referred to as an FL-6 or equivalent local permit) from the local Excise Department. Your event planner or caterer can easily assist with this application. Our team will require a copy of the approved license prior to the event start to ensure full compliance.

We provide a secure, dedicated on-site parking area that can comfortably accommodate approximately 60 cars, along with ample space for two-wheelers. For larger gatherings, we can arrange for additional off-site parking nearby and coordinate with valets to manage smooth vehicle movement. The entrance is fully accessible and designed for comfortable drop-offs and pick-ups right near the main lawn gate.

Terrabithia provides basic electrical connection points for standard lighting, sound, and catering. For heavy power requirements—such as specialized stage lighting, large LED screens, high-capacity sound systems, or heavy catering appliances—we mandate renting a silent diesel generator (DG set). We can coordinate the rental of an appropriate 82.5 kVA or 125 kVA generator through our vendors, or your decorators can arrange their own.

The venue features modern, clean, and well-maintained restroom blocks located conveniently near the lawn. Separate facilities are provided for ladies and gentlemen, complete with running water, premium sanitary fittings, mirrors, and dedicated housekeeping staff during the event to ensure hygiene is maintained throughout.

Terrabithia is located at Puzhakkal, Thrissur. It is approximately 10-15 minutes (around 5-7 km) from Thrissur Town and Thrissur Railway Station, making it highly accessible for local guests. Guruvayur Sri Krishna Temple is approximately 35-45 minutes away (learn about our Guruvayur wedding receptions), and Cochin International Airport (COK) is about 1.5 hours away (see our riverside venue near Kochi guide). Every event venue booking automatically includes access to our private, premium Farm Cabin Stay. This cozy, air-conditioned cabin is perfect as a bridal changing suite or a relaxing space for the family during the event. It features a spacious double bed, comfortable seating, an attached modern bathroom, and a private veranda overlooking the river. Additional overnight stays can also be booked independently or as part of a destination wedding package.

For independent farm cabin stay bookings, our standard check-in time is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM the following morning. For event bookings, the cabin timing is synchronized with your event slot. We can accommodate early check-in or late check-out requests if there are no overlapping bookings, though additional fees may apply.

To respect our surrounding nature and local community guidelines, amplified music (including DJs, live bands, and loud speakers) is governed by local regulatory limits. Music volume must be lowered or completely turned off by 10:00 PM. Unamplified light acoustic music, soft ambient play, or indoor cabin celebrations can continue beyond this limit. We recommend scheduling high-energy items earlier in your program.

Yes, Terrabithia is a pet-friendly venue! We understand that pets are family, and we welcome them to participate in your celebrations, particularly outdoor photoshoots and lawn events. We only request that pets remain under supervision at all times and that owners ensure cleanups to maintain hygiene and comfort for all guests.

Traditional ceremonial fire (such as a wedding Hawan or Pooja) is permitted in designated safe areas on the lawn with proper protection under the fire pit. However, high-noise firecrackers are strictly prohibited to protect local wildlife and domestic animals. Eco-friendly cold pyros, flower showers, and smoke effects are allowed on stage with prior notification.

Our cancellation and refund policies vary depending on the reservation type (lawn event bookings vs. independent farm cabin stays) and the timeframe of the request relative to the event date. Since we hold dates exclusively for your booking, deposits are generally non-refundable or partially refundable based on timelines. Please contact our booking office to discuss the specific terms of our rental contract.
